Anthrax Letter Confirmed Sent From Switzerland to Chile
Chilean Health Ministry and US officials confirmed that a letter from Switzerland tainted with anthrax was received by a pediatrician at Calvo Mackenna Hospital in Santiago. CDC testing in Atlanta confirmed anthrax. it marks the first mailborne case outside the United States since 9/11. The postmark read Zurich and indicated return to Florida. origin and linkage to US cases remain uncertain.
