California county pursues public marijuana distribution plan
San Mateo County endorses a first of its kind program to distribute seized marijuana to seriously ill patients under strict rules in response to Proposition 215. The plan, to be reviewed by the attorney general and lawmakers, envisions testing, cataloging, and controlled clinic distribution with patient prescriptions and sheriff registrations.
