Lawrence city commissioners voted to use newspaper ads cable TV and city water bills to collect drainage problem reports identified by a proposed 22.4 million study funding 40 projects to fix stormwater issues. The plan considers a monthly water bill increase of 2.70 to 4.00 dollars and seeks residents for a Bicycle-Friendly Community committee.
Lawrence city commissioners unanimously approved creating a seven member Lawrence Bicycle Advisory Committee to counsel officials on bicycle use.
