7 000 Blackjack Game Is Reason Cash Lost His Job
Deputy FHA Commissioner James B. Cash Jr. was dismissed for the good of the housing agencies. The firing followed a columnist report that he lost 7000 in a blackjack game at a Chicago builders convention last year. Cash said the game was forgotten by agreement with the winner and none of the money changed hands. The San Diego Union quoted an unnamed source saying the winner was Robert Spillane, a San Diego contractor. An assistant commissioner was named acting deputy.

Zoning Appeals Board Approves Most Agenda Items
