Downtown bus hub location debate continues in Lawrence
Lawrence city commissioners remain split over where the new downtown bus hub should be placed as they near a vote next month. Two sites under consideration are city parking lot No. 9 on the west side of 900 Vermont Street and the existing transfer area at city parking lot No. 14 in the 700 block of Vermont Street. Transit director Adam Weigel outlined preliminary concepts for both, noting designs are not final and will involve state agencies like KDOT.
