Survivor Prayed Amid Radio Shack Rampage Tragedy
In St Peters Florida a customer Leenette Rutherford survived a fatal shooting at a Radio Shack by hitting the floor and praying aloud as victims moaned. Gunman Justin Cudar killed a shopper and clerk before turning the gun on himself. Police say he was 25 and a University of South Florida psychology major amid possible paranoia treatment. He legally bought the Glock .40 caliber on November 5. James Dolan and Ken-neth Powell were wounded or killed. Rutherford described the chaotic scene and asked for help as authorities probe motive.

Cottrell Convicted in Firebombing Probe in California
California Institute of Technology graduate student William Jensen Cottrell, 24, was found guilty by a federal jury of seven counts of arson and one count of conspiracy for firebombing sport utility vehicles at a Hummer dealership to protest environmental pollution. He faces at least five years in prison at sentencing in March, after being acquitted on the most serious charge. Also in the wintry election tally, incumbent Dick Murphy led by 2,205 votes for mayor, with possible write-in Donna Frye on deck pending a court ruling on ballots lacking a filled-in bubble. In inauguration fundraising news, Mercer Reynolds and Brad Freeman and William DeWitt, plus spouses, will co-chair inaugural fund raising for Bush-Cheney.
