Two teens plead guilty in 1999 Kansas City double murder
A 16 year old boy pleaded guilty to two counts of first degree murder in the 1999 killings of Wilbur Williams and Wilma Williams in Kansas City Kansas. Donell Williams, then 14, faced the court as his brother Ronell Williams prepares for a Dec. 4 trial on similar charges. Both brothers faced adult indictments but avoided the death penalty due to age. The pair allegedly stole jewelry cash and keys after the shooting, with their victims found in the kitchen and their car later recovered. Meanwhile, three penitentiary workers were acquitted of civil rights abuse in the beating of inmate Tyrone Long at Leavenworth in 1997.
