Six Army fliers killed in bomber crash near LaGrange
A twin engined army bomber crashed in a woodlands near LaGrange Georgia during a rainstorm killing six airmen and injuring another. The aircraft was on a routine flight from Mitchell Field New York to Maxwell Field Alabama when it struck timber and bushes. Four bodies were found near the wreck and a fifth later. a sixth remains missing with searchers fearing it is among the smouldering debris.
