H R Block lowers earnings forecast after quarterly loss
H and R Block, based in Kansas City, reported a larger second quarter loss as higher interest rates hurt mortgage volume. The company now guides full year earnings of 1.90 to 2.15 per share, down from 2.12 to 2.32.
