Dr. Larkin Bruce Bowers sixty, president of Kansas Wesleyan University, died at Salina Kansas at two this afternoon from injuries in a Tuesday icy pavement automobile crash. He remained conscious until seven this morning and spoke with his son Robert Bowers of Kalamazoo Michigan. The widow survives. Born in Upper Tract West Virginia he spent his life as a minister and educator and led the university for 18 years. Funeral plans not yet set.
