Student Debt Alert Project launched by student groups
College loan debt rises as Public Interest Research Groups and state student associations create a virtual yearbook at studentdebtalert.org where 500 students from 10 campuses share debt stories. The effort aims to spark a national campus dialogue on rising loan use amid looming changes in federal lending terms and higher costs for future borrowers.
