Sebelius Miller settle long legal fight after election
After Sebelius won the Kansas governorship two days earlier she and Lawrence attorney Chris Miller quietly settled a seven year dispute that cost the state about 200000. Miller said the dismissal showed no merit while Sebelius aides defended the decision. The case began in 1995 over Miller billing and his work for the Kansas Workers Compensation Fund with Sebelius accusing overbilling and barring him from fund work. The parties dismissed claims on Nov 7, ending a costly legal battle with negotiations previously offering a dollar settlement and admission of improper accusations.
