Four High Schoolers Escaped Serious Injury In City Crash
Four Lawrence high school students escaped serious injuries when a Ford touring car overturned at Ninth and Indiana streets on their way to the stadium. Drivers were Robert Armstrong and Charles Guffin with passengers Charles Rankin Loring Dalton and Edgar Leigh. The collision left the lighter car on its side with little head room for the youths. Scottish Rite Reunion Closes With Banquet

Coal oil explosion roils Pleasant Hill. three children die
In Pleasant Hill Missouri on November 16 a coal oil blast from a kitchen stove fatally burned Robert Stevens, 2, Hubert, and Virginia, ages 7, and critically burned their mother Mrs Samuel Stevens, 38, as flames leapt during the flare up.
