Two Americans Nettleton and Bostwick were attacked near Ontonago with Nettleton captured and hanged. Fate of the others in the vicinity unknown as Mexican troops press a vigorous campaign.

Interstate commerce commission ruling on Santa Fe differential rates

The Interstate Commerce Commission issued its decision in the Kansas board of railroad commissioners v Atchison Topeka and Santa Fe Railway case. It upheld that flour transport prices from Kansas to Texas must not unfairly exceed wheat rates, and ordered that corn meal surcharges over corn not exceed seven cents per 100 pounds. It found that some routes from Kansas City Missouri and other points to Texas intermarket territories unfairly favored nearer points and must treat intermediate territories alike, with higher rates limited to specific circumstances.

Knife duel ends in fatal wound in Missouri cellar

In West Plains Missouri on November 15 W M Sharp postmaster was mortally wounded by Lake Seels in a knife duel stemmed from alleged affair with Mrs Sharp. They fought in a cellar as Mrs Sharp witnessed from above Seels was jailed on bond and Leela was arrested. Reverend Joseph Hartwell founder of the Methodist church extension society died in Binghamton New York the same night.

Kansas University football contract dispute at convention hall

Kansas University manager FP S Elliott reports convention hall management in Kansas City wants a release from the Thanksgiving game contract with a 30 percent fee to use Exposition Park.
