Second U.S. General Killed in Vietnam War Helicopter Crash
Maj. Gen. Bruno A. Hochmuth, 56, commander of the 3rd Marine Division, was killed when his helicopter exploded and crashed north of Hue. Four others died. The crash followed another general's death in a bomber collision, and combat along the coastal lowlands near Dak To.
