Dover Pennsylvania gives intelligent design equal time in biology
Dover Area School District in Pennsylvania voted to require teachers to present intelligent design as an alternative to evolution. The 6-3 decision, led by William Buckingham, sparked resignations from two board members and drew national attention from civil rights groups and science advocates. The district serves about 2,800 students near Harrisburg, and teachers seek guidance on how to balance lessons between Darwinian evolution and design theory.
