Veterans Day ceremony draws older veterans, urge youth
Douglas County veterans groups gathered at the American Legion Dorsey Liberty Post 14 ceremony for Veterans Day. Dozens of older veterans attended while organizers urged more young veterans from Iraq and Afghanistan to join. Hank Sipple noted multiple local groups offer medical and support services and highlighted the need to connect younger vets with resources. Ed Mount, Post 14 commander, recalled shifting attitudes and missions as generations return home.
