A 19 year old Lawrence woman told police about damage to a lamp and clothing items on the Haskell Indian Nations University campus between 3 and 6 am Monday totaling 1870 dollars. A Syracuse NY man reported theft from a vehicle of items valued at 1685 dollars, including cash, a bow and a backpack, between 5:13 and 5:24 am Monday. A 22 year old Lawrence man reportedSunday theft of a Trek Fuel 70 bicycle valued at 2300 dollars from 700 block of Massachusetts between 1 am and 9:41 pm Sunday.

Suspect charged in south Lawrence robbery attempt
Prosecutors filed charges against Louis Galloway Jr. of Lawrence for conspiracy to commit aggravated robbery and attempted aggravated robbery after a failed Aug. 26 robbery at the Easy Living mobile home park. He was injured in the shootout and is due back in Douglas County District Court on Nov. 24.

Night manager reports kidnapping and restaurant burglary
Kris Wenberg, 21, a night manager at Long John Silver's in Lawrence, says two white men with guns abducted him after his shift, forced him to reveal alarm and safe codes, then dumped him by North 2000 Road. Police investigated, the restaurant was burglarized, and Wenberg remains suspended pending results. Authorities pursue leads with no arrests yet.

City moves forward on laboratory building in Lawrence
