Family marks grave of veteran ancestor in Oskaloosa
Danny Snellgroves and relatives gathered in Oskaloosa to place a granite tombstone on the unmarked grave of Samuel Snellgroves, a veteran of the Mexican War and Civil War who moved to Oklahoma and later died in 1914. Descendants traced the lineage online and with a local history book, reconnecting with long lost relatives from Arizona.
