Southwest Kansas Regents Center proposal eyed by Dodge City College
A Dodge City Community College report outlines a Western Kansas Regents Center plan using former St Mary of the Plains campus to offer degree completion via both face to face and distance learning. Five state universities would provide programs as Wichita State, Pittsburg State, Fort Hays, ESU and FHSU. The goal is expand access for rural areas, especially Hispanics, with minimal new buildings and shared staff. The plan, costing millions, faces funding hurdles and a spring decision deadline.
