Park Hetzel 74 a resident of Lawrence for 55 years died last night in a local hospital after years of ill health. He was born December 27 1869 in Montecello Illinois and moved with his family to Perry Kansas in 1870. He worked as a buyer for Bowersock Maulage and later bought the Lawrence Transfer and Storage company in 1903. He is survived by his widow Eva Hetzel daughter Mrs Marcella Arndt of Topeka son Park Hetzel Jr and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Funk's Chapel Friday at 2 30 pm with Rev C Fosberg Hughes officiating and burial in Oak Hill mausoleum.
