Ex-Mayor Heynen of Tongany Dies in Leavenworth
William Heynen 89 former mayor of Tonganosie and longtime Tonganosie Mirror publisher died at Cushing Hospital Leavenworth after a cerebral hemorrhage. He helped bring a state lake and the first telephone exchange to Tonganosie and supported a free public library. Funeral services are set for Thursday at the Congregational Church with Masonic graveside rites.

Marshall Caswell Joins Journal-World Advertising Staff
Marshall Caswell joined the Journal-World advertising staff on Monday after five years in the San Francisco News advertising department. A Boston native, he is married with a two year old son and plans to move his family from Kansas City to join the paper. Caswell, a tenor, studied vocal music in Boston before World War II and sang in churches. He served five years in the Air Force finance department during the war and has been a Toastmasters member for 13 years.
