Centenarian Maxine Summers turns 100 at Drury Place
About 40 area centenarians gathered in the Drury Place dining room in Alvamar to celebrate the milestone. Summers, who keeps track of laps with pennies, shared that longevity comes with smiles and simple habits. She and 102 year old Ina Arnett formed a close friendship, while staff joked about speeding tickets for her laps. Summers reflected that the first 50 years were better than the last due to loved ones passing away.
