Fourteen labor unions ratify a work contract with Hercules Powder Co to restart Sunflower Ordnance Works near Lawrence. Wage hikes of 12 to 15 cents an hour plus an extra paid Friday after Thanksgiving holiday. About 750 workers now employed, with 2000 expected when production starts late 1965 or early 1966. Hercules, based in Wilmington, has a $187 million propellant contract for Mighty Mouse missiles used in Viet Nam.

AEC Inspectors Plan Area Visit for Atom Smasher Sites

Publication Planned For Work by Pozdro
The Rondo Gioioso for string orchestra by John Pozdro of Kansas University will be published early in 1966 by the Sammy Birchard Company. Commissioned by the Music Teachers National Association and the Kansas Music Teachers Association, it premiered last March. Pozdro is professor and chairman of the department of organ and music theory. His Sonata No. 3 for piano was played by Roy Hamlin Johnson in a recital at Hollins College in Roanoke Virginia last week.

Six KU Theater Students To Be in Exchange Setup
Six Kansas University theater students and one KU faculty member join the third demonstration exchange program funded by the State Department.
