Man apologizes for attack on Royals coach at Comiskey Park
William Ligue Jr. told Daily Southtown he regrets the September incident in which he and his 15 year old son ran onto the field and assaulted Kansas City Royals first base coach Tom Gamboa during a ninth inning at Comiskey Park. Ligue, jailed on 200000 bond, said he was not in his right state of mind and offered remorse for Gamboa and Chicago. The Royals plan no ticket price rise for 2003 and add 1200 five dollar seats extending to the front row of the upper deck at Kauffman Stadium alongside a unchanged parking fee. The 2003 home schedule includes a first ever series with NL champion Giants.
