County computer guru weighs AS400s and PC compatibility

Douglas County commissioners heard about AS400s but learned new records management software for the register of deeds will run on a PC server. Chair Taul questioned future AS400 need while Lawson explained not all AS400s are equal and cautioned over bid prices versus other county needs.

Sewer district plans up for review by county commissioners

County commissioners will review proposals for an engineering feasibility study for two Baldwin Creek sewer benefit districts. Landplan Engineering bid $7,200 for District No. 1 and $8,200 for District No. 2. The meetings start at 9 a.m. in Room 9A at the Judicial and Law Enforcement Center.
