USDA shuts down BeefAmerica plant in Nebraska over E. coli contamination

The USDA withdrew inspectors from BeefAmerica Operating Co. in Norfolk Neb after repeated sanitation violations and fecal contamination alerts. A plant recall topped 600000 pounds, with 169000 pounds recalled this week and 443000 earlier in October. No illnesses reported.
