Officials: Police shooting stemmed from seat belt stop
A traffic stop for a seat belt violation led to a downtown Lawrence shooting. A black man was shot by police, taken to hospital in stable condition, and two Lawrence officers were placed on administrative leave as the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office investigates.
