Local craftsman builds near exact Batmobile replica in Lawrence
Art Tougeau Johnson spent about 1050 hours turning a Lincoln Town Car frame into a near identical Batmobile replica. He sourced ideas from TV props, added rooftop laser antenna and rear rocket tubes, plans a flamethrower, and aims for durable fun over a fragile show car. He will debut the car in Saturday’s Art Tougeau parade after a pre-parade block party tonight in downtown Lawrence.
