Topeka auction houses sell a Bamberg Rider bust once given to Adolf Hitler on his 46th birthday. Pauline Beatty inherited the piece after her husband Marion Beatty, a U S Army lieutenant colonel, retrieved it from Berlin debris in 1945. The bust, carved in the 1200s in Bamberg, Germany, was later dated to the mid to late 1800s and linked to Hitler as a warrior.
