Flamenco Great Jose Greco Blamed on Amtrak Death
Attorneys for Jose Greco age 82 allege his Dec 31 death from heart failure followed complications from a September encounter with Amtrak police. The Lancaster Intel ligencer Journal reports Greco was pulled from a New York to Lancaster train on Sept 18 after a scuffle during attempts to remove him. A pathologist hired by the family says heart tissue cultures show an infection attacking a heart valve, stemming from a foot injury in the scuffle.

Navy extends lease for USS Missouri at Pearl Harbor
The Navy reached a tentative three year lease extension with the USS Missouri Memorial Assn to keep the battleship moored at pier F-5 Ford Island. The July 31 expiry was avoided as the agreement requires the group to cover pier operating losses, preserving a key World War II landmark near the Arizona Memorial and drawing hundreds of thousands of visitors since 1999.
