Lawrence Honor Guards Memorial Day Ceremonies Memorialized
Lawrence veterans and community members gathered Monday at local cemeteries to honor sacrifices for the country. At the VFW ceremony Felix Zacharias, Iraq War veteran, praised community support as the flag continues to fly. The American Legion Dors ey Liberty Post 14 held a 10 am ceremony at Oak Hill. Nearby, the Seibel family marked World War II service at Memorial Park Cemetery in Eudora.
