Obama plans cyber czar in White House to coordinate security
The Obama administration will roll out a plan creating a White House cyber czar to coordinate national computer security with a goal for stronger cyber defenses and public awareness campaigns. Critics say the post may lack sufficient authority to push rapid digital reform. The president aims to elevate cyber security as a top priority and urges education on cyber threats.

GM Aims for Leaner Reorg as Chapter 11 Looms
GM moves toward a Chapter 11 filing expected Monday as bond creditors accept a deal wiping out 27 billion dollars of unsecured debt in exchange for stock. A proposed plan would erase most debts, give Treasury 72.5 percent of the new company, provide 30 billion in extra financing, and leave old GM largely controlled by bondholders with a 10 percent stake. The size of the restructuring could stretch 60 to 90 days, with plant closures, labor cost cuts, and Opel talks pending.
