California Judge Plans Unabomber Report Release
U.S. District Judge Garland Burrell Jr said he will release copies of a psychi atric report by Dr. Sally Johnson finding Theodore Kaczynski to be a paranoid schizophrenic but competent to stand trial. The report is among secret documents in the Unabomber case, which ended with his guilty plea as the trial neared in January. Burrell, who sentenced Kaczynski to four consecutive life terms earlier this month, agreed with media lawyers that the public deserves information shedding light on motives and background.
