Rhubarb grows in North Lawrence garden since 1946
Susan Krumm of K-State says rhubarb is easy to grow and pairs well with strawberries in pies and jams. Bob Snow, growing rhubarb since 1946 at 876 Oak in North Lawrence, notes how versatile it is and urges calling ahead to buy. Rhubarb should be firm with pink or red stalks, leaves are poisonous, and stalks store well after refrigerating. Snow advertises Rhubarb availability in the Journal World each year.
