Actor Christopher Reeve 42 was admitted to the University of Virginia Medical Center Saturday for an undisclosed ailment. Family requested privacy, spokesman said, noting his fame from the Superman films and ongoing projects including Village of the Damned remake and HBO movie Above Suspicion.

Two Killed as Bus Crashes on I-85 near LaGrange
A tour bus returning to Atlanta from Biloxi collided head on with a car two miles south of LaGrange near the Alabama border on Interstate 85. The bus rolled several times, killing two and injuring at least 39 passengers. The car driver’s injuries were not confirmed.
