George C. Dalton 64 of Lynchburg Va died Wednesday. He is father of Mrs. Thomas Hanenkrat of Lawrence. Funeral services will be held later this week in Lynchburg. Survivors include Mr. and Mrs. Hanenkrat and two other daughters. Lemuel Moses Holladay 75 of Lawrence died Thursday evening in Lawrence Memorial Hospital born December 8 1884 in Leavenworth County. A 13 year old American boy Bobby Hill, son of Sgt. Henry Hill, received a college scholarship promise up to 1500 dollars a year for four years from Ralph Smith Lumber Co. if he pursues engineering or medicine. The offer followed his gift of a shoebox of medicines to Dr. Albert Schweitzer in Africa and a shipment of drugs arranged by Italian manufacturers.
