Ex-officer convicted of sexual assaults gets more than 23 years
Former Hutchinson Kansas police officer Todd W Allen 52 was sentenced to 23 and a half years after pleading guilty to 12 felony sex crime charges and five breach of privacy counts. He assaulted 10 female victims including a 15 year old while a police officer and later as a security guard. Allen stopped vehicles questioned occupants and dragged them to the back of his car for assaults, and looked into victims homes through windows. His lawyer urged probation noting lack of prior trouble and claimed only finger contact. Prosecutors said victims remained terrified and traumatized until his capture. Allen apologized for not considering their mental impact.
