She worked as a special education teacher in Oskaloosa Perry Lecompton and Lawrence and was a KU KSU graduate. Survived by sister Miriam daughter Paul nephews and nieces. Memorials to Northern Flint Hills Audubon Society.

Driver suffers medical issue crashes SUV in North Lawrence
A man was taken to area hospital after a medical problem caused him to veer off North Third Street and strike a tree, with the SUV on its side. Emergency crews cleared the scene and one lane was closed from about 4:40 to 5:30 p.m. No serious injuries reported.
