Grant to help develop Oread neighborhood plan
Lawrence has won a 30000 dollar grant to advance planning in the Oread neighborhood. Kansas Historical Society will award 30005 dollars to the city planning department to develop overlay zoning districts as recommended by the Oread Neighborhood Plan. Planning Director Scott McCullough says the funds will hire a consultant to gather public input and draft district regulations, speeding up the process.
