KU professor to help establish Lesotho social work program
Bren da Crawley, associate professor of social welfare at Kansas University, will travel to Lesotho in July under a Fulbright grant to teach for a year. She plans to help establish graduate social work courses, supervise fieldwork, develop curriculum, and publish findings on regional social conditions while working with 10 to 15 students per class. Local issues include a low per capita income around 460 to 480 dollars and many men working in South Africa’s mines.
