Driver Reports Bandit Gas Attack Near Tonganoxie
A Wichita truck driver, W. F. Frazier, told Venworth County officers he was eight miles east of Tonganoxie on U S 40 when two cars boxed him in and a pistol gas cartridge was fired at his face. He endured the gas effects, kept the truck on the road, slowed, stopped briefly as a second car arrived, and the suspects fled. He was treated by a Tonganoxie physician and continued on.
