Angler Bivins Details Two Lure Setups for Kansas Waters
Bivins prefers a half-ounce Bill Lewis Rat-L-Trap and an eighth-ounce jig with a wool or chenille body and marabou tail for Kansas waterways. He notes the jig and Rat-L-Trap catch a variety of fish from bass to crappie and stresses retrieval technique over color. He favors chartreuse jig with a chrome Rat-L-Trap and describes line, rod, and reel choices, plus precise hopping and slow cranking methods to work depths and terrain.
