Topeka May 24 Kansas weather officials report streams are falling but flood warnings remain along the Solomon and Republican rivers in north central Kansas. The Solomon rose after a 47 inch rainfall in Smith county and may overflow its banks. Beloit officials anticipate a crest three feet above flood level threatening crops in the river valley.

Tegucigalpa Honduras May 2 Ex tradiction papers for Clara Phillips escaped California hammer murderess are expected to arrive from the United States before the end of the present week. The prisoner will be turned over to representatives of the Los Angeles sheriff's office as soon as the papers are approved and will leave in their custody probably Sunday reaching New Orleans about May 30. Escaped Convict Sought After Leavenworth Break
Kansas City police search for Stewart W. Phillips 30 a Houston Texas army rioter who fled from Leavenworth last night. Phillips a trusty at Warden Bidle’s home is believed to have boarded an interurban car to Kansas City. He was among sixty or more former soldiers of the 24th Infantry serving sentences for alleged participation in the August 23 1917 Houston riot in which several civilians were killed.
