Also promotes assorted goods at Smith's News Depot and local shops with sales pitches and gift suggestions.
The Joensax bulletin board drew attention in Lawrence while judges and visitors crowded the town for commencements at Kansas University. A strawberry festival by the Presbyterian church, a university science club meeting, and Ladies Aid events were listed, along with notices of excursions, sales, and upcoming lectures.
