Jefferson City May 22 The state supreme court today upheld the death sentences for Frank Uottman and Mrs Aggie Myers convicted of murdering Myers in Kansas City. The court set July 20 as the execution date for both cases.
Washington reports that treasury officials settled a $20,000 claim for extra pay due Kansas volunteers led by Col Frederick Kupston, later brigadier general. The dispute concerned the Spanish War era service before joining the volunteer army, with the Court of Claims granting the claim over a year ago and the Treasury now endorsing it. A warrant for Lieut. Mguul is expected to be issued in a few days and sent to the Governor of Kansas.

Rujla Bingham, Kansas City Star correspondent, spoke to the newspaper about his experiences. The last vesper service will be next Sunday at chapel. The Soph-Freshman La Crosse championship game to be played next Friday on McCook field. Admission free.

Kansas market day results show cattle prices steady to strong with leaf steers at 4.00 to 6.15, cows and heifers 1.75 to 4.84, stockers and feeders 2.75 to 4.85, bulls 2.75 to 4.25, hog receipts around 16,000 with top near 6.40.
