Dravwoov Dakota May 20 A shaft collapse at the Golden Terra mine 300 feet from the mouth buried many miners and killed at least two instantly with more seriously injured. Rescue efforts by Homestake crews followed as crowds gathered in grief and officials blamed haste and poor timbering on disputed ground.
