Retirees restore Parker carousel to life in Leavenworth
In Leavenworth the Over the Hill Gang revived a 1913 CW Parker carousel, saved from rot since 1988. Volunteers funded, painted, carved, and repaired horses and rabbits, overcoming money gaps and soil contamination to open a $1.2 million museum. Melissa Etheridge donation aided the effort.
