Unauthorized degree resignation at Pittsburg State
Pittsburg State University faced resignation of President Donald Wilson after regents cited granting an unauthorized doctorate in accounting to a non-enrolled person. The board said Wilson gave several honorary degrees beyond authority and failed to oversee international reciprocity agreements. A search committee was formed to replace Wilson, with details limited pending an ongoing review.
