Official apology ends assault charge against federal prosecutor

Jacksonville AP report explains Richard Rose of WJKS TV 17 received an apology from U S Attorney Larry Colleton after Rose dropped a petty pot charge from May 9. The incident happened May 6 at a Ponte Vedra Beach judicial conference when Rose was grabbed and shoved during a probe of a prosecutor’s reassignment.

Bart Simpson Stamp Rejected by Postal Service

The U S Postal Service refused Fox Broadcasting requests for a Bart Simpson postage stamp saying it would amount to a commercial endorsement. Fox proposed two designs, one with a Presley style crooner Bart and another with Bart at a chalkboard declaring I will not waste chalk. The idea was rejected in recent weeks.

Gay kiss cut from Melrose Place finale

AP reports Fox cut a same sex kiss scene from the Melrose Place season finale. Doug Savant as Matt Fielding shared a brief kiss with another man on filmed footage, but the air version shows the scene cut away before contact. Fox declined to comment.
